Captain Me

Join innovative school-based occupational therapist Dr. Amy Coopersmith as she provides a fun, entertaining lesson from Captain Me, her well-established program designed to promote children’s motivation and problem-solving skills.  Captain Me is a lively, musical interactive program for children, using puppets and music to help them learn to take charge of their lives, make good decisions for themselves, and find their joy!

Children and their grown-up(s) are invited for a fun hour featuring Cappy, an engaging puppet who struggles with daily challenges.  Everyone will have the chance to set a personal goal and create a simple plan of action to promote problem-solving and independent thinking. Then we’ll sing a song with Cappy to help remember the positive message and promote learning.  

Parents and children can attend together.  Seating is limited.

To reserve your spot, please complete the application below, enclose a check or cash for $10 in a business envelope, and either drop it off at Town Hall in Wallkill or mail it to:
