Description
We are getting a head start on our Art Along the Sidewalk project.
What is Art Along the Sidewalk, you ask? Lawn signs are painted or decorated with a spooky, Halloween theme. The artwork is judged and then displayed along roads and sidewalks to help decorate the hamlet for Halloween!
Pick up a blank sign before September 16, 2024, at Wallkill Public Library or Town Of Shawangunk Town Hall during their regular business hours. There is a $5 entry fee per board. Paint your board with a spooky Halloween theme and drop it off by September 20 (see attached for locations and times).
Judging will take place during the Weekend of Wallkill on Saturday September 21. We are looking for artwork from students in elementary school, middle school, high school, and this year, adults too.
All the details are on the flyer attached and when you pick up your art board.
Artwork will be placed on roads and streets in the hamlet by September 29. Sign will be taken down and collected by VOW after Halloween. Artists will be notified to pick up their artwork at the Shawangunk Town Hall, sometime in early November.
